I recommand it - Carl Hennig- Kitchener, Ontario

Hello:

My initial intention was to ask for a refund because I could not determine any benefits from installing the D-Scaler 1.0 and there are no performance tests to apply on your web site.
Soft water is not a problem, we have an operating 12 year old water softener, but I thought of not replacing this Spring.

Without any performance data on your site, I created my own test.
I purchased some Hard Water Test strips to determine the hardness of our water and the efficiency of our water softener.
The tests indicate the water from the City of Kitchener is approx. 25 GPG or 425 PPM.
After the test I determined the water softener is putting out water with 3 GPG or 50 PPM. More than satisfactory for a 12 year old softener.

As the D-Scaler 1.0 is not a water softener, I decided to make a suds test. I put 50 ml of un-softened water in a 100ml 25mm diameter beaker. To this I added one drop of Dawn liquid dish detergent. Agitated the beaker for 10 seconds and measured the height of the suds and the amount of water used to create the suds.

I also performed the test using softened water.
The results:

Hard water: Suds level to 95ml, water level to 44ml.
Soft water: Suds level 97ml, water level 43 ml.

Conclusion: The D-Scaler 1.0 treated hard water can create as much suds as the softened water.

We decided to keep the D-Scaler 1.0 and delay the water softener purchase.

I will try another experiment by bypassing the water softener and see if life is good with out a water softener.

Anti-scale treatment vs. water softener

Limescale Problems ? Best solution: D-SCALER

The water treatment market and water softeners is sometimes controversial. Unfortunately some companies try to sell you completely useless solutions to your needs and often high cost. The water supplied by municipalities meet Canadian standards and is safe for consumption, so there is no need to treat for consumption. By cons, in some municipalities the water hardness ranges from soft to very hard. According to its hardness and pH, a medium hard water may create aesthetic problems and some damage to your appliances and your plumbing. Our electronic anti-scale device prevents these phenomena at low cost and provides optimum protection while respecting the quality of your water and your health

A private water source (well, river, lake) anti-scale D-SCALER will help reduce scale buildup problems but you will still provide yourself with a filtration system sediment 5 microns upstream of the D-SCALER  and add other water treatment solutions.
